Founder's Note

When I started Dex Cowork in January 2020, I wasn’t just launching a business — I was taking a leap of faith. A leap rooted in years of experience, a deep love for thoughtfully designed spaces, and a simple belief: that work should feel good.

After spending decades in the perfume, cosmetics, and skincare industries — and even stepping into construction — I had seen my fair share of boardrooms. But something always felt off. So many offices were uninspired. Cold. Rigid. They didn’t nurture people. They didn’t spark creativity. And they definitely didn’t feel like places where ideas could thrive.

So I asked myself: What if we could reimagine workspaces to feel warm, beautiful, and deeply human?
That’s how Dex was born.

I come from a family of service-minded individuals — my roots trace back to an Air Force home from Kerala where discipline met compassion. And my mother? She’s my biggest inspiration. Watching her navigate life with strength and grace taught me everything I know about resilience. Her wisdom and quiet courage are present in every decision I make, both in life and in business.

I launched Dex in the heart of Bengaluru — excited, nervous, and full of big dreams. But just two months in, the world came to a standstill. COVID-19 hit. Lockdowns followed. And I faced a question that every entrepreneur dreads: Should I stop before this even begins?

It would’ve been easy to walk away. But I didn’t.
I couldn’t.

Because I believed — and still believe — that people deserve better spaces to work from. Spaces that energize, inspire, and feel like a second home.

So, we kept the doors open. Slowly, steadily, one member at a time — Dex began to find its rhythm. It became more than just desks and Wi-Fi. It became a living, breathing space filled with creativity, warmth, and purpose.

Today, I stand as a stronger business owner — not just because of resilience or vision, but because of the incredible team that walks this journey with me. Their dedication, warmth, and shared belief in what Dex stands for have been the backbone of our growth. They’ve held space during the toughest moments, celebrated the quiet wins, and consistently shown up with heart. Dex is what it is today because of the people behind the scenes who treat this space like their own — and for that, I’m endlessly grateful.

Dex isn’t a big-box coworking brand. And we’re not trying to be.
We’re here to build a close-knit community — of thinkers, builders, and changemakers.

At Dex, you’ll find open lounges that invite conversation, cozy corners that welcome solitude, and a kitchen that smells like fresh coffee and real connections. You’ll find people who greet you with a smile. People who know your name.

I’m a hands-on founder — the kind who walks around fluffing cushions and making sure the vibe feels just right. This space is my canvas, and every member adds a new stroke of color to it.

As a woman entrepreneur, I’ve learned that success isn’t about perfection — it’s about showing up, staying true to your values, and creating with intention. Today, I’m proud to say Dex stands as a space built on care, courage, and community.

And to every woman reading this — whether you’re building a company, switching careers, or simply figuring things out: you’ve got this. You’re stronger than you think. And if you ever need a space that believes in your potential — Dex will always have a spot for you.

Looking ahead, there’s so much to be excited about. From new office formats to launching my design studio to help other entrepreneurs craft meaningful spaces — the journey is only just beginning.

But no matter how we evolve, the heart of Dex will always stay the same:
A space where people belong.
A space that feels like coming home.

With love and gratitude,
Sajitha Nambiar,
